Jeremy Guthrie is 3-0 with a 2.06 ERA in five interleague road starts, while Tim Lincecum is 2-2 with a 4.28 ERA in six career home interleague starts.

Of the four runs that the Orioles have totaled in Guthrie’s last three starts, only two have scored while he’s been in the game.

The Orioles are 1-4 in series finales when they have a chance to claim the series win. Their lone success came May 13 against Seattle.

The Orioles are 10-6 when holding opponents to seven hits or fewer.

Nick Markakis leads all left-handed batters with a .365 average against lefties. He has 10 doubles, one triple and one home run.

Saturday’s game in San Diego has been moved from MASN2 to MASN.

Interim manager Juan Samuel was inducted into the Hispanic Heritage Baseball Museum Hall of Fame yesterday. HHBM President Gabriel Avila, Jr., Director Jason Sanchez and former teammate and Giants first base coach Roberto Kelly presented Samuel with his HOF plaque before yesterday’s game.

Single-A Frederick pitcher Jose Duran was added to the Carolina League All-Star team for Tuesday’s game against the California League All-Stars in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Duran joins Keys shortstop Greg Miclat and outfielder Ronnie Welty.

Name sound familiar? I wrote about Duran at the winter meetings, when the Orioles selected him from the Astros in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft.

Duran is 3-1 with a 2.12 ERA in 15 relief appearances. He’s allowed one run in 17 2/3 innings this month.
