Orioles and Yankees lineups

NEW YORK - Trey Mancini is leading off tonight and Chris Davis has moved down to fifth as the Orioles begin a four-game series with the Yankees.

Colby Rasmus is the designated hitter and Anthony Santander is in right field. Chance Sisco is catching.

Andrew Cashner is making his first career appearance at Yankee Stadium tonight. He’s allowed four earned runs in 20 innings against the Yankees, with three walks and 12 strikeouts.

One more strikeout will give Cashner 700 for his career.

The Orioles are trying to snap a five-game losing streak. They posted a 6.75 ERA while being swept by the Astros in a three-game series. The bullpen allowed 10 earned runs in nine innings.

Masahiro Tanaka is 2-2 with a 3.58 ERA and 1.157 WHIP in eight career starts against the Orioles. He’s averaged 9.3 strikeouts per nine innings.

Adam Jones is 7-for-21 with a double and home run against Tanaka. Jonathan Schoop is 5-for-23, but he has a double and three home runs. Manny Machado is 4-for-23 with two doubles and one home run. Rasmus is 3-for-12 with two home runs. Tim Beckham is 2-for-11 with a double and five strikeouts.

The Dodgers claimed pitcher Alec Asher off waivers from the Orioles. Pitcher Michael Kelly cleared waivers and was outrighted to Double-A Bowie.

The Pirates claimed former Orioles minor league pitcher Jesus Liranzo and optioned him to Double-A Altoona. Liranzo was traded to the Dodgers on Monday for left-hander Luis Ysla and designated for assignment the following day.
