Orioles and Mariners lineups

The Orioles will begin their final home game this afternoon with Austin Hays moving up to second in the order.

Renato Núñez is playing third base and Chris Davis is across the diamond.

Mark Trumbo is the designated hitter in his final home game with the Orioles. He becomes a free agent after the season and likely won’t be re-signed. He also could choose to retire.

Trey Mancini and Anthony Santander are out of the lineup.

John Means is making his penultimate start of 2019. He’s never faced the Mariners.

The rotation is going to include Chandler Shepherd and Gabriel Ynoa for two of the games in Toronto.

Mariners left-hander Marco Gonzales, a Cardinals first-round pick in 2013 out of Gonzaga, is 16-11 with a 4.14 ERA and 1.339 WHIP in 32 starts. He’s faced the Orioles twice in his career and allowed nine runs and 17 hits in 7 2/3 innings.

Left-handed hitters are slashing .313/.349/.482 against Gonzales this season. Right-handers are batting .256/.308/.408.

In his last two starts, Gonzales has allowed only two runs with two walks and 11 strikeouts in 14 innings.
