Baseball is a game of subtleties; a moved runner here, a played made there, and you can win some games by doing a lot of little things the right way. The Nationals, with a few exceptions, have done that for the first 18 games of the season and are holding their own against some solid National League clubs like the Phillies, Brewers and Cardinals. Not very often over the five-plus years I've been here have we been able to utter the words ".500 road trip," but we did this past weekend as the Nationals came from behind to capture the series in New York.
