After holding serve Sunday against the Saints and staying two games ahead of the pack in the battle for a wild card spot, the Ravens are now in a great position to clinch a playoff birth for the third time in three years.
Baltimore can lock up a postseason spot this weekend five separate ways.
The first way is simple - with a win or a tie against the Browns on Sunday. If the Ravens get that done, they're in.
If the Ravens lose to Cleveland, there are four scenarios which would still guarantee them a playoff birth:
1) Kansas City loss + Jacksonville loss or tie OR
2) Kansas City loss + Indianapolis loss or tie OR
3) San Diego loss or tie + Jacksonville loss or tie OR
4) San Diego loss or tie + Indianapolis loss or tie
That's all way too complicated for John Harbaugh and his bunch. They'd much prefer to go with Option A: Beat the Browns and punch their ticket on their own.
