Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler redeemed himself on Tuesday when he threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Nats game against Houston.
You might remember the last time he tossed a ceremonial first pitch. It was at RFK in 2007 and embarassingly, it bounced in the dirt.
He was coming off a broken hand, but he told me today “no excuses on that one!”
Well, today he did a nice job to redeem himself and what a relief that was for the former UConn standout.
After the pitch Caron visited with some wounded warriors from Walter Reed Hospital in the President’s Club seats.
He also told me he had a nice conversation with Nats pitcher Daniel Cabrera who played basketball in the Dominican Republic before turning his attention to baseball.
This was Caron’s first visit to Nationals Park and he was impressed with it. All-in-all it was a fun day at the ballpark for Caron Butler.
