The youngsters are stepping up

After a long, difficult road trip, Jim Riggleman was back at Nats Park and back with MASN’s Bob Carpenter for his latest video blog.

Despite the Nats’ 3-6 record in New York, Colorado and St. Louis, Jim said that he was pleased with his team’s performance, commenting that one play might have been the difference between a win and a loss on a few occasions.

The Nats’ skipper also discussed the recent play of Roger Bernadina and Ian Desmond, two young guys who have earned a lot of playing time this season, and with interleague play quickly approaching, Jim talked about whether a National League team has the edge when they play at home against their American League foes.
