To thank all of its loyal social media followers and those who have participated in its text-messaging alerts during the 2011 baseball season, MASN will reward Orioles and Nationals fans all weekend long during games from Sept. 16-18. The Orioles host the Los Angeles Angels that weekend, while the Nationals entertain the Florida Marlins. During those series, MASN will sponsor a variety of pregame and in-game events, utilizing popular social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, along with its text-messaging service, to reward its tech-savvy fans.
Contests, including scavenger hunts and fan challenges, will take place at both ballparks, while lucky fans will be chosen for pregame meet-and-greets with Orioles and Nationals players. Randomly chosen winners will be awarded behind-the-scenes access to the “O’s Xtra” and “Nats Xtra” sets, production trucks, and TV broadcast facilities. Autographed memorabilia and seat upgrades will be given away.
Winners will be selected through interactive Facebook posts at the MASN Orioles and MASN Nationals pages, via Twitter mentions (@masnOrioles and @masnNationals),and during in-stadium contests at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and Nationals Park.
