The Orioles today announced that they have signed infielder/outfielder Steve Pearce to a major league contract. Pearce, 31, went 1-for-7 in three games with the Orioles earlier this season. He was designated for assignment on April 22 and released on April 27.

McFarland, 24, posted a 2.25 ERA (4.0IP, 1ER) in two appearances with the Orioles since being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on April 22.
