NatsFest is only 10 days away, and information is finally leaking out about exactly what visitors to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center can expect for the event, which will run from noon-4 p.m. (with season ticket holders getting in an hour early at 11 a.m.).
First, there are no longer autograph vouchers available for purchase through the team. However, you might be lucky enough to find these on the secondary market - CraigsList, eBay, etc.
Which Nationals players will be appearing on Jan. 26? Well, since you asked, here’s the full list (subject to change):
Corey Brown, Tyler Clippard, Ian Desmond, Ross Detwiler, Danny Espinosa, Christian Garcia, Gio Gonzalez, Brian Goodwin, Dan Haren, Bryce Harper, Nathan Karns, Steve Lombardozzi, Ryan Mattheus, Tyler Moore, Michael Morse, Ryan Perry, Anthony Rendon, Will Rhymes, Matt Skole, Denard Span, Drew Storen, Kurt Suzuki, Chad Tracy, Jayson Werth, Jordan Zimmermann.
Owner Mark Lerner, general manager Mike Rizzo, radio voice Charlie Slowes, and MASN personalities Bob Carpenter, F.P. Santangelo and Phil Wood are also expected to partcipate.
As for activities, there will be photo stations for players and mascots, exclusive story times and press conferences for kids, interactive games, live batting cages and staples like face painting, balloon art and caricatures (which benefit the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation).
Fans can also get information on tickets for the 2013 season, take advantage of a family picnic area, learn about the Jr. Nationals Kids Club and visit with representatives of the Nationals’ minor league affiliates.
MASN will be in the middle of the action, offering grin-and-grab photos with Nationals players (stay tuned for details to be released next week) and a trivia contest to test your knowledge of curly W history.
