Game 15 lineups: Nats at Braves (update: Murphy scratched)

ATLANTA - The Nationals go for the series sweep of the Braves tonight, which wouldn’t be a bad way at all to end the first leg of a tough, 10-game road trip that continues Friday night at Citi Field and then heads west Monday to Coors Field.

Dusty Baker will hope for a continuation of last night’s offensive explosion, though he’ll have a different lineup out there for this one. Daniel Murphy has been scratched. Jayson Werth, who had to leave last night’s game in the third inning with groin spasms, is out as expected. (Werth said he’s dealt with this before and doesn’t think he’ll need more than a couple days to come back.)

Michael-A.-Taylor-gray-swing.pngWith Werth out, Adam Eaton slides over to left field and Michael A. Taylor gets the start in center field. Wilmer Difo was to have a night off, but was inserted when Murphy was removed from tonight’s lineup. Grant Green gets his first start of the year, but instead of playing shortstop, as originally planned, he’ll take Murphy’s defensive position at second.

Stephen Strasburg is on the mound, seeking his fourth consecutive quality start. He’ll be facing a Braves lineup that gets Matt Kemp back from the disabled list, adding even more of a threat behind the unstoppable Freddie Freeman.
