The Amazing Race

The Baltimore Ravens led a youth stampede at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore for The Amazing Race on October 6, 2009.

More than 100 youths from both Cecil Elementary School and Hampstead Hill Academy completed tasks that blended educational programming and physical activities as they ventured through various zoo exhibits.

Ravens' LS Matt Katula, S Dawan Landry and LB Jameel McClain joined team cheerleaders, Poe and members of the Lady Ravens association and almost 50 volunteers helped guide kids through the race.

This event was part of the NFL's Play 60 program, which encourages kids to get up to 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Also, the event was part of the 2009 NFL/United Way Hometown Huddle.
