For those who feel an affinity for Art Modell and his family, who brought the NFL back to Baltimore, they can show their gratitude to the late Ravens owner this weekend.
On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Modell family and the Ravens invite fans to M&T Bank Stadium to attend a silent tribute to Art Modell, whose casket will be placed on the field.
The viewing will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a card saluting Modell will be handed out to each person in attendance. Those attending the service should park in Lot B/C and then enter Gate A of the stadium via Unitas Plaza.
Additionally, the Lombardi Trophy presented to Modell following the Ravens’ Super Bowl victory will sit beside his casket.
The Ravens suggest that attending fans wear purple.
After the tribute, all lots must be cleared by 1:30 p.m. to accommodate incoming fans for the Orioles game.
