Last week’s decision to rest the majority of their first-stringers seems to have paid dividends for the Ravens now that the playoffs are here.
Baltimore goes into Sunday’s first-round contest against the Colts with no one ruled out or listed as doubtful.
On Friday’s injury report, the Ravens listed wideout Tandon Doss (ankle), safety Bernard Pollard (chest) and guard Jah Reid (toe) as questionable and a host of others as probable.
They are: tailback Anthony Allen (head), tight end Billy Bajema (head), wideout Anquan Boldin (shoulder), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle), linebacker Adrian Hamilton (illness), fullback Vonta Leach (knee/ankle), cornerback Chris Johnson (thigh), defensive end Arthur Jones (thigh), linebacker Ray Lewis (triceps), linebacker Albert McClellan (shoulder/thigh), defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (knee), tackle Kelechi Osemele (knee), tailback Bernard Pierce (ankle), safety Ed Reed (shoulder), cornerback Jimmy Smith (abdomen), wideout Torrey Smith (knee), linebacker Terrell Suggs (biceps) and guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder/knee).
Coach John Harbaugh officially confirmed what Lewis said Wednesday, that he will play Sunday.
“We were hoping to bring him back earlier. He was hoping to come back earlier, but it would have been not smart,” Harbaugh told reporters. “Ray’s an incredible rehab guy, and he probably could have played, but it would have been a big risk. We felt like we could get our positioning in the playoffs, and then bring Ray back when the injury had the best chance to be completely healed, which is 12 weeks after the injury. He’s ready to go. He’s going to play in this game. He should be full-speed.”
The Colts have ruled out guard Joe Reitz (concussion) and listed running back Delone Carter (ankle), nose tackle Antonio Johnson (ankle), center AQ Shipley (knee), safety Tom Zbikowski (knee) and tackle Winston Justice (shoulder) as questionable.
Ten others are probable: defensive tackle Kellen Heard (illness), tackle Bradley Sowell (illness), cornerback Teddy Williams (knee), linebacker Jerrell Freeman (thumb), quarterback Andrew Luck (knee), linebacker Pat Angerer (illness), defensive end Cory Redding (quad), center Samson Satele (ankle), linebacker Dwight Freeney (non-injury) and linebacker Robert Mathis (non-injury).
