Ngata sits out Ravens practice while Packers officially rule out Matthews

The Ravens released their Wednesday practice report and perhaps the only name that drew a head-tilt was that of defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, who did not participate because of a hip injury.

Defensive tackle Terrence Cody (knee), center Ryan Jensen (foot) and linebacker Albert McClellan (shoulder) also did not practice. Seven other members of the team were limited participants: receivers Marlon Brown (thigh), Jacoby Jones (knee) and Brandon Stokley (thigh), running backs Shaun Draughn (ankle) and Bernard Pierce (thigh), guard Kelechi Osemele (back) and defensive tackle Marcus Spears (knee).

The Packers, on the other hand, have already ruled out four players for Sunday's game.

Leading that group is star linebacker Clay Matthews, who is expected to miss a month with a broken thumb. Green Bay also ruled out linebacker Brad Jones (hamstring), tailback James Starks (knee) and offensive lineman Greg Van Roten (foot).
