Some retribution for Mason

On the Ravens first drive of the game, Derrick Mason had a beautifully-thrown deep ball from Joe Flacco fall into his arms at the Texans’ 20-yard line.

Somehow, the ball bounced off the veteran wide receiver’s hands, and fell incomplete. The Ravens had to punt a few plays later.

Mason got some retribution mid-way through the second quarter, however.

On a third-and-goal from the nine-yard line, Flacco looked for Mason and fired a bullet over the middle. Mason took a hit from a Texans’ defensive back just after the ball got to him, but he held on, tapped both feet inbounds, and got the touchdown.

It was a heck of a throw by Flacco, putting the ball where only Mason could get it, but was an exceptional grab by the 14-year veteran receiver.

The Ravens are now up 14-0.

With a big lead and 35 minutes to play, let’s see how offensive coordinator Cam Cameron chooses to attack - or not attack.
