Two picks result in some hardware for Ed Reed

Last week, Ravens running back Ray Rice was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

This week, Ed Reed has earned defensive honors.

Reed’s two-interception performance against the Browns won him the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award.

The seven-time Pro Bowler picked off Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy twice Sunday, including the game-clinching interception late in the fourth quarter.

Reed subsequently fumbled the ball while trying to make an ill-advised lateral to cornerback Lardarius Webb, but I guess the Player of the Week voters let that slide.

The two picks against the Browns give Reed a team-high six interceptions on the season and 52 for his career.
