We can now officially add another name to the Ravens’ weekly injury report.
Head coach John Harbaugh announced today that wide receiver/kickoff returner David Reed will miss around three weeks with an injury to the AC joint in his left shoulder.
“Probably three weeks, I would say,” Harbaugh said. “I don’t know. I’m not a doctor, but I play one in press conferences. That’s what it normally is.”
Reed’s injury came in his first game of the season; the second-year man was suspended for the Ravens’ Week 1 contest because of a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. He previously battled a wrist injury and concussion issues in his rookie season.
The injury comes at a rough time for Reed, who recorded a 77-yard kickoff return earlier in the game. With Reed out, Lardarius Webb will likely take the kick return job back for now.
