The Ravens will likely have their full roster available Sunday when they take on the Steelers.
Starting left guard Ben Grubbs missed practice today with a thigh injury, but he’s listed as probable on the Ravens’ injury report.
The only other player on the injury report, linebacker Jason Phillips, returned to practice today and had a full session after missing yesterday’s practice with a concussion.
Phillips said he was held out yesterday as a precaution, but he was in good spirits and appeared to be fine today.
“One of the big things with the NFL is with any concussion, they’re going to be careful,” Phillips said. “They checked me out and I feel great.”
Phillips had the nose of a hockey enforcer even before the concussion, but he was sporting an extra bruise on his schnoz today as a result of a hit taken in practice.
“He banged his nose - you know, he’s got such a good looking nose anyway,” head coach John Harbaugh joked, drawing laughs from the assembled media. “But he’s OK.”
When the coach makes cracks about your looks, I guess it’s fair to say any injury that’s been suffered isn’t that major.
For the Steelers, reserve linebacker Chris Carter has been ruled out for Sunday’s game because of a hamstring injury, and wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) is doubtful. Cotchery did not practice the last two days.
Reserve offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert (concussion) is listed as probable.
