Lewis misses another day of practice

A few Ravens are still trying to mend their wounds as the team prepares to host the Colts on Sunday.

Linebacker Ray Lewis sat out as he continues to heal his turf toe injury, while cornerback Chris Carr missed practice with a back injury.

Also, a pair of offensive linemen, center Matt Birk and guard Ben Grubbs, missed Wednesday’s practice. Birk is dealing with a shoulder injury while Grubbs, like Lewis, has a nagging toe injury.

The severity of the injuries to Birk, Grubbs and Carr isn’t exact, but Lewis is projected to return to action for the Ravens’ Dec. 18 game in San Diego.
