Arrieta breaks a sweat and loses a lead (updated)

Jake Arrieta loaded the bases with one out in the fifth inning, gave up the tying run and threw 26 pitches.

He was busy.

Arrieta also struck out two, including Ryan Doumit to end the inning.

Neal Walker walked and stole second with Chad Moeller behind the plate. John Raynor singled to left, Aki Iwamura struck out and Jose Tabata walked to fill the bases.

Garrett Jones hit a sharp grounder to Garrett Atkins, who couldn't backhand the ball cleanly. He quickly retrieved it and flipped to first for the out as Walker scored.

Only fifteen of Arrieta's 26 pitches were strikes.

Blake Davis has reached second base on an error with no outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Update: Davis scored on another error, this one by shortstop Ronny Cedeno, to give the Orioles a 3-2 lead. Robert Andino reached base on the miscue.
