Down on the farm

The game is expected to resume at 5:35 p.m. following a major downpour. We're in the top of the 11th with the score tied, 3-3.

It's nice to see the tarp off the field.

Down on the farm, Triple-A Norfolk rallied for two runs in the bottom of the 11th to defeat Durham, 6-5.

Nick Green led off the inning with a single and took third on Brendan Harris' double. Blake Davis lifted a sacrifice fly with one out, and Matt Angle followed with the game-winning single.

Angle returned to the Tides' lineup this weekend after being out with a sore hamstring. He went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Green went 3-for-5 with a double and RBI.

Brandon Snyder hit his fourth home run. Josh Bell went 2-for-5 with a double, and also committed two errors - one throwing, one fielding - to raise his total to five. Nolan Reimold was 2-for-4 with a walk.

Ryan Drese didn't allow an earned run over six innings - he gave up three unearned and four hits - to lower his ERA to 6.85. Mark Hendrickson held Durham to one run and two hits over four innings to lower his ERA to 6.00.

Robert Bundy shut out Lynchburg on six hits over six innings in Single-A Frederick's 2-1 victory. He walked one and struck out nine to improve to 1-2 with a 2.77 ERA.
