Now it’s Ryan Flaherty’s turn to start at third base. He’s handling the hot corner for today’s game against the Indians after starting in right field last night.

Wilson Betemit stays at first base. Matt Wieters is batting seventh again after homering in that spot last night.

Manager Buck Showalter would like to limit Eveland to 80 pitches today. Eveland said he’s probably good for 85.

A victory today would give the Orioles four straight winning months for the first time since they won seven in a row August 1996-August 1997 (minimum 10 games in a month).

Hall of Fame manager Earl Weaver is being honored today with the unveiling of his statue in the picnic area. His No. 4 is hanging from the warehouse, and it’s been spray painted in orange in front of the Orioles’ dugout.

The Sports Legends Museum is showcasing a special Weaver display until July 12. Items on display include:

Weaver’s Orioles home jersey from his last game of his first retirement on Oct. 3, 1982.

Game ticket from Weaver’s last game of his first retirement, signed by Weaver.

Lineup card from Cal Ripken’s first game of his consecutive game streak, May 30, 1982. Weaver was manager, and his signature is at the bottom of the card.

Weaver’s 1968 manager rookie card.

“Thanks Earl” day program from Sept. 19, 1982.
