The short-season Single-A Aberdeen IronBirds are hosting their first playoff game tonight, and it falls on the 18th anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr. breaking Lou Gehrig’s record for consecutive games played. Seems appropriate.

The IronBirds are giving away rally towels and free commemorative game programs, and also treating fans to a post-game fireworks show.
