More stats and notes from a big night on offense

It was just about the Orioles best night of the season on offense. They beat Florida 11-5 on Thursday night.

Here are some notes on their big night on offense:

*It was just the second time all year they scored double figure runs. They posted a season-best 12 runs versus Boston on May 1. The O's 17 hits tied their season high, which they posted on April 24 also versus Boston.

*The O's hit two homers in the game and this was the first time all year the O's have hit more than one homer in back-to-back games.

*The Orioles scored 20 runs in the series to match their best scoring three-game series all year. They also scored 20 runs in three games versus Boston from April 30-May 2.

*In the series versus the Marlins, the O's team average was .330 (37 for 112) and they hit eight doubles and five homers.

*The O's total of five homers in the series matched their total HRs hit over the previous 15 games.

*The O's team batting average increased from .250 to .253 after the 17-hit game.

*Four players had multi-hit games and three had multi-RBI games.

*The O's seven hits in the third inning is their most hits in any inning all year. They had six straight hits to start that frame. It's the first time the O's had six hits in a row since September 24, 2008 versusTampa.

*Miguel Tejada drove in four runs after beginning the game with just one RBI over his last 99 at bats. He homered for the first time since April 30, going a career-high, 205 at bats between home runs.

*Adam Jones hit a homer for the second game in a row and has hit three homers in his last five games, four in eight games and five over his last 15 contests. He has six homers in June and six in interleague games.

Over his last five games, Jones is 11-for-21 with three homers, 6 RBI and seven runs. He is batting .358 with five homers and 14 RBI over his past 17 games.

*Tejada has eight hits in 14 at bats the past three games.
