Nats-Brewers thru three: Tied at 1 - but should it be?

We’ve played three innings at Nationals Park here tonight, and the Nationals and Brewers are tied at a run apiece. But the Nationals missed a chance in the third inning to take a bigger lead.

They tied the game at one on Nyjer Morgan’s triple, which scored Wil Nieves, and Willie Harris followed with a one-out walk. But Harris got caught in a rundown at second base, and couldn’t extend it long enough for Morgan to break for home.

The good news for the Nationals is, John Lannan looks good tonight. He’s thrown 44 pitches through three innings, and has already struck out two. He gave up a homer to Casey McGehee in the third, but his fastball command has been sharp and he’s had no problems otherwise.

So we’re tied at 1 after three innings.
