A pair of Nationals minor leaguers were honored by their respective leagues today.
Tyler Moore won the Carolina League’s Batter of the Week Award for the third time in four weeks, after going 11-for-23 with four homers, 10 RBI and eight runs at Single-A Potomac last week.
He’s leading the league in homers (21), doubles (36), RBI (83) and is second in slugging percentage (.510). If Moore becomes a more disciplined hitter, he could have a bright future in the organization.
Byron Kerr is heading down to Potomac tomorrow, so watch for more on the P-Nats from him.
Outfielder J.P. Ramirez also won the award in the South Atlantic League, after going 13-for-28 with four homers and nine RBI at Single-A Hagerstown.
