Nationals break team records, score 17 runs in romp over Orioles

BALTIMORE - After this one, the Nationals are going to make some revisions to their team record book.

After coming into Camden Yards having not scored a run in their last 19 innings, the Nationals exploded for 17 against the Orioles on Friday night, blowing out Baltimore 17-5.

The 17 runs were the most the Nationals have scored since coming to Washington. So were the six homers they got. Danny Espinosa came a double short of the cycle, Wilson Ramos tied a club record with five runs, and Jayson Werth hit a pair of homers on his 32nd birthday.

Baltimore has now given up 42 runs in its last four games. I’ll have more from the clubhouse in a little bit.
