Eight days are all that remain of a baseball-less offseason. That's right, pitchers and catchers report next Thursday. As we approach the final week of the offseason, let's take a look at what others are saying about the Nats.
* The Nationals' spring training facility saga took another turn this past week. The Nationals have been linked to Fort Myers' stadium as a possible new spring training destination. Those links, however, appear to be in jeopardy. According to...Eight days.

* The
Nationals' spring training facility saga took another turn this past week. The Nationals have been linked to Fort Myers' stadium as a possible new spring training destination. Those links, however, appear to be in jeopardy. According to
FloridaToday.com, the city can't meet the costs the developer has proposed to renovate the already existing stadium. The park needs renovations that could cost $45-50 million. As a result, the Nationals are still looking elsewhere for a new spring straining site.
* Speaking of spring training, the Nationals loaded up their equipment truck last Friday to deliver the players' equipment to Viera, Fla. According to Nationals clubhouse manager Mike Wallace, the drive takes between one to two days to get to Viera. Well, the truck may have run into some of the crazy weather much of the country has been experiencing, as the truck did not arrive until yesterday, according to a
tweet from the Nationals.
* Following NatsFest, several stories came out about the relationship between relievers
Craig Stammen and
Jerry Blevins. Both Stammen and Blevins
attended the University of Dayton. Stammen and Blevins were in the same communications class, where as an assignment, the two staged interviews with one another. One acted like a MLB general manager and the other was a managerial candidate.
Try picturing that. Stammen and Blevins are excited to continue their friendship while pitching out of the same bullpen. In case you were wondering, Blevins is one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter. His handle is
