As the Orioles begin a three-game series at Fenway Park tonight, they are tied for first place with Boston and feature an offense that has been prolific this month.

The Orioles have scored 81 runs in 12 games in June, going 8-4, even after losing their last three games. They have scored six runs or more eight times. They lead all American League teams this month in runs, homers, slugging and OPS and rank second in OBP. Their 30 homers in June are 10 more than Texas, the next-closest AL team.

The Orioles are batting .277 in June with a .351 OBP, a .550 slugging percentage and .901 OPS. But their 5.09 ERA is also their worst of any month so far after posting marks of 3.63 in April and 4.15 in May.

Now we see if these two teams will rack up the runs as they did recently in that four-game series they split at Camden Yards from May 30-June 2.

The Orioles bashed seven homers - all in their last five at-bats - in a 12-7 win over Boston to conclude that series in Baltimore. The Orioles scored 25 runs the last two games of the series. It was an impressive comeback after they were outscored 13-4 in the first two games. The four-game series score: Orioles 29, Boston 29. The Orioles lead the season series over Boston, four wins to three, by a 49-45 score.

First baseman Chris Davis will try to tie a team record tonight by homering in his sixth straight game, something done as Orioles only by Davis in 2012 and Reggie Jackson in 1976. In the last five games, Davis is 7-for-17 with five homers and 10 RBIs. He has four consecutive multi-RBI games.

Boston's Mookie Betts, who had a three-homer game in that recent series, is 15-for-31 (.484) this year against the Orioles with six homers, 12 RBIs and an OPS of 1.658.

On the mound tonight, Chris Tillman (8-1, 3.01 ERA) faces left-hander David Price (7-3, 4.63 ERA).

Price agreed to the richest contract ever by a pitcher when he signed with Boston in December. It is a seven-year deal worth $217 million. Last year between Detroit and Toronto, Price went 18-5 with a 2.45 ERA and 225 strikeouts and finished second to Houston's Dallas Keuchel for the AL Cy Young Award. The Orioles are now facing him with a third AL East team.

He started slowly this year, but now has pitched six consecutive quality starts. Price gave up five runs in five innings versus the Orioles on April 11. In 20 career starts, he is 8-4 with a 2.90 ERA.

Tillman, coming off an outing where he pitched 7 1/3 scoreless against Kansas City, has not faced Boston this year. He is 9-3 with a 2.84 ERA in 18 career starts against Boston. He is 4-1 with a 2.56 ERA in eight career starts at Fenway Park.

Since 2012, the Orioles are 50-32 (.610) versus Boston and 25-16 (.610) at Fenway Park in that span.
