Ben Revere lined a single up the middle leading off the third inning, but Orlando Hudson grounded into a 6-3 double play, with shortstop Robert Andino fielding the ball with one foot on the bag. The Twins put two runners on base in the second inning on a leadoff single by Jason Kubel and two-out walk to Jacque Jones, but they couldn't score. Hernandez threw 13 of his 21 pitches for strikes and froze Danny Valencia for the second out. Chad Moeller singled and Jeff Salazar walked to open the top of the third, but the next three batters were retired to keep the game scoreless. Update: Hernandez came out of the game with two outs and a runner on second base. He threw 58 pitches today, 39 strikes, in 3 2/3 innings. The Twins collected five hits. Alberto Castillo is on the mound. Update II: Castillo got the final out to complete Hernandez's line. And the Orioles took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fifth when Jeff Salazar reached on an error with two outs, and Robert Andino and Justin Turner followed with singles. Andino and Turner are 2-for-3.
