On leaving Roark in after the rain delay: "It's one thing to get him if he has got to go a full inning or an inning-plus. But he has got two outs in that inning. We wanted to give him the opportunity to tie the game in the bottom of the inning there at least." "It depends on how he feels. (Alfredo) Simon went out there too, and he actually had a longer delay than Tanner did because he was in the middle inning. It all depends on how they feel and how well they can stay loose during the delay." On why Simon was so good: "Multiple arm angles. He is tough matchup for right-handed hitters anyway. Drops down with his slider and his fastball, mid-90s mph fastball too. He is good. He has been pitching well for them." On playing without Bryce Harper, LaRoche and Ryan Zimmerman: "It is what it is, we can't do anything about it. We want those guys back as quickly as possible. But our guys are capable too." Was it frustrating to go 3-3 in an up-and-down homestand? "No, it's not frustrating. It is a product of who we are facing too. The guy is a quality pitcher. (Mike) Leake's a quality pitcher too. And we beat a good one last night too. Would we love to score nine runs every day, sure. If you did, you would probably win a championship. That is not the nature of the game."
