Account Access

1. How do I create an account?

Answer: You can create an account through our official website or any of our apps (mobile or TV). During sign-up, you'll be asked to enter your email, and you’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) for verification.

2. Do I need to create a password?

Answer: No. Our platform uses an OTP (One-Time Password) system. You’ll receive a new login code to your email each time you sign in.

3. Can I use my phone number instead of email for login / Registration?

Answer: We support Registration / login only via email.

4. My One-Time Password (OTP) is delayed or not arriving. What should I do?

Answer: Check your spam or junk folder. If you're using a work or company email, ask your IT team to whitelist the following domain: @masnsports.com. You can also try using a personal email account (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo).

5. Can I stay logged in across devices?

Answer: Yes, as long as you don’t manually log out, uninstall the app, or clear browser data.

6. What happens if I enter the OTP incorrectly too many times?

Answer: You’ll need to request a new OTP. Too many failed attempts will temporarily lock login from that device for security reasons.

7. Can I change my email address?

Answer: This feature is not available. If you need to use a different email, create a new account using that email.

Subscription and Payments

1. Can I try the service before subscribing?

Answer: We currently do not offer a free trial, but short clips and highlights are always available for free.

2. Will I receive both MASN and MASN2 with my subscription?

Answer: Yes, your subscription includes access to both MASN and MASN2.

3. Do I need a different subscription for mobile and TV apps?

Answer: No, a single subscription works across all platforms: mobile, TV, and web.

4. Can I pay using PayPal, Venmo, or gift cards?

Answer: We currently support credit/debit cards and in-app purchases only. PayPal and other alternative payment methods are not supported at this time.

5. I subscribed through the app store. How do I manage or cancel it?

Answer: Please use the subscription settings in your respective app store:
Apple iOS/tvOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
Google Play (Android): Google Play > Menu > Subscriptions
Roku/Fire TV: Via your Roku/Amazon account online

6. How Do I Cancel My Subscription if I Subscribed Through the Web?

Answer: As a Monthly Subscriber you can cancel anytime while retaining access to MASN+ until the end of your current Billing Cycle by following the bellow steps:
Open your latest MASN+ invoice found in your email and click “View Online” to open the Account Manager Portal
At the top of the page, you will see the “Create Account” button; follow the steps to access the Portal
Select the “Cancel Subscription” Button to cancel your subscription and receive your Cancelation Confirmation email.

7. What payment methods do you accept?

Answer: We accept:
Major credit and debit cards on our website
In-App Purchases (IAP) through:
- Apple App Store (iOS & tvOS)
- Google Play Store (Android)
- Roku Channel Store
- Amazon Fire TV Store

8. I subscribed through the app. How do I manage my billing?

Answer: If you subscribed via iOS or Android, manage your subscription through your Apple/Google account settings.
For TV apps (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV), billing is managed via the respective app store/platform.

9. Why was I charged after canceling?

Answer: Make sure your cancellation was confirmed through the same platform where you subscribed (e.g., Apple, Google, Roku). If not canceled properly, the subscription may auto-renew.

10. Do I need separate subscriptions for each device?

Answer: No, your subscription works across all supported devices, but simultaneous streams may be limited.

1. In which areas is MASN available?

Answer: Per MLB policy, MASN+ has the rights to broadcast and distribute within
Maryland,
Washington DC,
Virginia, and
Delaware;
with additional coverage in parts of West Virginia,
Pennsylvania, and
North Carolina.

2. Is the MASN App available without Wi-Fi?

Answer: Yes. The MASN App can be accessed from any 3G, 4G LTE, or high-speed internet connection. Normal data rates apply. To limit The MASN App to Wi-Fi only, just go to Settings and toggle the switch for “Video Over Wi-Fi Only” to On.

3. Why am I having blackout issues?

Answer: Ensure that you are accessing the service within our supported territory as listed above.

4. Where can I get game broadcast information?

5. Can I stream video to Apple TV using AirPlay?

Answer: Yes, you can stream MASN content to Apple TV using AirPlay. Ensure your devices are on the same network and select your Apple TV as the AirPlay destination.

6. Why is MASN no longer available in the Outer Banks of NC on Spectrum TV?

Answer: Despite extended negotiations, MASN and Spectrum have been unable to renew our carriage agreement.

7. When is MASN available on YouTube TV?

Answer: Currently, MASN is not available through YouTube TV. We will continue to explore opportunities on any satellite or cable TV provider who wishes to carry MASN. For future updates, please visit https://www.masnsports.com/

8. Why are some games exclusively aired on Apple+ and not MASN?

Answer: National rights deals with MLB require that certain games air exclusively on national rightsholders, including Apple. Other such rightsholders include ESPN, FOX, and Roku. MASN is not involved in the selection of games aired exclusively on other networks.

9. How can I watch games in MASN channel?

Answer: You can subscribe directly through our MASN+ App or connect using one of our cable/satellite affiliates. Please refer to our full list of affiliates linked below:

10. Why can’t I access the platform from another country?

Answer: Content is geo-blocked based on regional broadcast rights. If you’re outside our supported territory, you will not be able to access live or on-demand content.

11. Can I still watch while traveling?

Answer: Yes, you can access your subscription while traveling for up to 30 days outside of our authorized region. After 30 days, access will be temporarily restricted until you return to the authorized region.

1. How can I watch Orioles games on MASN if I've cut the cable and use different streaming services?

3. I’m having audio issues in the apps, what should I do?

Answer: Please use the Contact Us form to reach out to us so that we can further assist. In the “Description” field, please include answers to the following:
a. Are you encountering same issue on all your TVs or devices?
a. Is the TV that you are having issues, wired into your sound system?
a. Do you have SAP (Secondary Audio Program) turned on?
a. Is your current sound setting Stereo or 5.1 surround sound?

4. How can I minimize noise to listen to announcers clearly on MASN broadcasts?

Answer: MASN prioritizes optimal audio quality and continuously monitors levels during live games. Ensure correct settings on your TV and cable box. If issues persist, contact your cable provider for assistance.

5. Why do we have different games on MASN app and TV?

Answer: There is no difference between MASN app and TV. Both contains the same programming.

6. Will MASN offer a streaming app for cord-cutters in the future?

Answer: Thanks to our new MASN+ App you’ll be able to subscribe with us directly to view all our Games and exclusive content

7. How can I fix MASN streaming live feature of my Apple TV/ Roku?

Answer: We recommend deleting and reinstalling the app for updates. If the issue persists, clear your cache, and restart your device.

8. Why do I have streaming problems and interruptions?

Answer: We recommend you delete and reinstall the app on your device. This will ensure all updates have been installed. If this does not help, you may try to clear your cache and restart your device.

9. When will MASN become available on GloFiber for livestreaming?

Answer: Currently, GloFiber is not an option for livestreaming MASN. Future rollouts will be communicated on http://MASNsports.com.

10. How do I watch live games?

Answer: Visit the “Live Tv / Stream Live” tab on the website or app to watch live MASN and MASN2 broadcasts.

11. Can I watch games offline?

Answer: No. Offline downloads are not currently supported. You must be connected to the internet to stream content.

12. Why can't I cast or AirPlay the live stream?

Answer: Due to licensing agreements, casting, mirroring, and use of projectors are not supported for live content. Attempting to do so may result in playback errors.

13. The stream works on my phone but not on my TV. Why?

Answer: Make sure you're using the official app for your TV platform (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV) and that it's updated to the latest version. Some older TV models may not be supported.

14. What if a video won’t play or is buffering?

Answer: Try the following:
- Check your internet speed (minimum 5 Mbps, recommended 15+ Mbps for HD).
- Restart the app or refresh the browser.
- Disconnect other devices on your network that may be taking up too much bandwidth.
- If using a company network or VPN, try switching to a personal network.

Trouble Shooting (Current Subscriber)

1. What happens if I do not update the app?

Answer: If you have not updated to the most up-to-date version of the MASN app, you may encounter error messages or see the app crash. We apologize for any inconvenience.

2. Why can't I download the MASN app on my Xfinity-supported devices?

3. How can I fix invalid appId, blackout issues and system failure?

Answer: If you encounter issues like invalid appId, blackout problems, or system failures, first ensure your app is updated. If problems persist, contact your cable/satellite provider or submit feedback through the MASN Customer Support E-mail Form for assistance.

4. I’m having issue signing in with TV Provider (e.g: Xfinity, Verizon/Fios, Spectrum, etc), what can I do?

Answer: To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:

Clear Cache: Go to the settings on your device, find the MASN app, and clear its cache.
Reinstall App: Uninstall the MASN app, restart your device, and reinstall the app.
Browser Sign-In: Try signing in to your TV Provider account through a web browser first, then open the MASN app and attempt the sign-in again.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please contact us with the details of your device (model and operating system) so we can further investigate.

5. What happens if I switch to a new or add an additional mobile device?

Answer: Your account is accessible on all streaming apps regardless of where you sign up initially. Simply sign in with your existing credentials on the new or additional devices.

6. I’m a Comcast subscriber from Pennsylvania and suddenly cannot access MASN and MASN2 channels. What happened and what can I do?

Answer: It seems there may be recent changes affecting channel availability on Comcast in your area. We recommend contacting Comcast's customer support at 1-800-934-6489 to get more specific details and assistance in restoring access to these channels.

MISCELLANEOUS

1. Why do I get a "502 Bad Gateway" error?

Answer: Delete and reinstall the app for updates. If the issue persists, clear your cache and restart your device.

2. Why doesn't MASN televise the national anthem or certain games?

Answer: We always aim to broadcast the National Anthem, but due to network scheduling and the start of the performance, the timing may not work consistently due to the unpredictability of live events. Certain games are not available for MASN to cover due to MLB’s national television rights agreements.

3. Can I interview a sports broadcaster/journalist/editor from MASN for a university assignment?

Answer: We appreciate your interest. Please fill out the MASN Customer Support E-mail Form and we will forward your request to the appropriate MASN staff.

4. Can we get field specific videos/ special fan moments that is not broadcasted?

Answer: Unfortunately, MASN cannot reproduce copies of game footage, including special moments.

5. Does MASN and DISH have an agreement?

Answer: There is currently no agreement between MASN and DISH. Additionally, DISH does not carry broadcasting rights for Regional Sports Network.
