Robert Andino is fifth among second basemen.
The Orioles haven’t had a player elected to the All-Star Game since Miguel Tejada and Brian Roberts in ’05.
Meanwhile, reliever Matt Lindstrom threw a scoreless inning today for the Gulf Coast League Orioles. Lindstrom is on the disabled list with a slightly torn ligament in his right middle finger.
A win over the Mets tonight would put the Orioles 13 games over .500 for the second time this season. They were 27-14 after a May 19 win.
Among pitchers with 35 or more innings pitched in the history of interleague play, reliever Jim Johnson’s 0.68 ERA in 39 2/3 innings over 30 games ranks as the lowest.
