Roch Kubatko

Roch joined MASNsports.com on Aug. 1 2008 after more than 20 years at The Baltimore Sun, where he covered preps, colleges, Canadian football and the Orioles. He moved to the baseball beat in 1997, the team went wire-to-wire, he assumed it would always be this way and it wasn't.

He still blames himself.

Roch is a local – born in Annapolis and raised in Severn, with diplomas from Old Mill High and the University of Maryland that he’s misplaced after multiple moves. He was named Journalist of the Year as a high school senior for his column “A Piece of the Roch,” which didn’t open any doors to his chosen profession.

The unique name also spawned the blog titles “Roch Around the Clock” at The Sun and “School of Roch” at MASNsports.com, none of which were his idea. He’s a proud Girl Dad and Papa, also bestowed upon him. Long-suffering Vikings fan. Treats biceps day as a holiday.
