The holidays and the New Year that inevitably follows are usually a time when the average person has to attempt to be in 10 places at once. Even if we manage to accomplish this feat, there’s usually some catching up to do in other areas when we’re done – say O’s offseason news, for instance.
So if you’ve been away from the fray, check out these O’s extras you may have missed.

As close to an “off”season as she gets…
Gain a little insight into the offseason of one of the few people who spends more time on the field at Camden Yards than the Orioles themselves. Orioles Head Groundskeeper Nicole Sherry sat down with MLB.com’s Spencer Fordin before the holidays to talk offseason activities in her part of the Yard, holiday traditions, and anything in between: Holiday Q&A with Nicole Sherry.
For more from Sherry, check out these Orioles Buzz oldies with the Queen of the Yard from late 2008 and early ’09:

Amber reminds Andy ‘It’s later’
You know ‘The Plan’ – Build now. Buy later. And most fans seemed to be okay with that notion from the start. Even now, if you asked a random handful of O’s fans, as badly as they want to win now, many of them would still say that big spending right now won’t help the Orioles compete in the AL East this year. Brian Roberts even said as much during one of his weekly call-ins to the Scott and Anita show recently.
But Amber Theoharis begs to differ – In her latest ‘Like It Is’ column in PressBox, she claims ‘later’ has arrived, and it’s time for the Orioles to shell out the big bucks for some big-time ballplayers. Do you agree with her? Check out the whole article here: ‘Tis O’s Time to Spend
Getting around town
Have you heard about the new free shuttle service in Baltimore? The Charm City Circulator, a fleet 21-strong of Hybrid Electric buses, will soon shuttle visitors to locations along three routes throughout the downtown area. Buses will run every 10 minutes, and, appropriately, the Orange line will include a Eutaw Street – Camden Yards stop at the corner of W. Pratt and S. Eutaw Streets.
During the baseball season, the Orioles Buzz be featuring restaurants and entertainment ideas to hit throughout Baltimore if you’re in town early for a game. Now you’ll be able to travel back and forth between areas of the city without the hassle of fighting traffic or paying to park in multiple locations. Check out the Charm City Circulator’s website for more info, schedules, route maps and more.
