The Orioles today announced that they have activated infielder Robert Andino from the 15-day disabled list and placed designated hitter Jim Thome on the DL, retroactive to July 28, with a herniated disc in his neck.
Andino has batted .230/.292/.325 with five home runs and 21 RBI in 79 games with the Orioles this season. He went 3-for-9 with a walk in two rehab games with Triple-A Norfolk.
