Update: Let the speculation cease regarding Saturday’s starter. Tweets coming out of Detroit say Zach Britton has, indeed, joined the Orioles.
The club hasn’t announced a roster move, but it’s coming.
The Orioles are listing Saturday’s starter as TBA. Triple-A Norfolk is listing Saturday’s starter as Britton.
Not anymore.
The Orioles could use a few hot bats against Tigers starter Justin Verlander. Jones is 1-for-18 lifetime against him. Hardy is 3-for-24, Markakis is 7-for-34 and Davis is 1-for-9.
Wieters is 2-for-12, but he has a double and triple.
Jones is homerless in his last 71 at-bats, his longest stretch of the season. However, he’s hitting .310 (22-for-71) during that stretch.
