NOTE: Wei-Yin Chen will start Tuesday night in Seattle, which means Miguel Gonzalez is being pushed back to the Red Sox series that begins Friday in Boston.

Manager Buck Showalter is carefully monitoring Gonzalez’s innings, which is easier with the expanded roster.

Update: Five batters into his first start with the Orioles, Wolf gave up a double, induced a fly ball, served up a home run and a double, and walked a batter.

Reddick hit the home run, giving Oakland a 2-0 lead.

Wieters homered with one out in the top of the second, his 20th, to reduce the lead to 2-1. Five Orioles have 20 or more home runs.

Update II: Chavez singled to lead off the top of the third inning, moved to second on Andino’s sacrifice bunt and later scored the tying run on Hardy’s single.

Andino used to be a bad bunter. Now he’s much better. So, he’s got that going for him, which is nice.

Update III: Wieters had three multi-homer games this season. Today’s barrage has given the Orioles a 3-2 lead in the fourth.

Wieters has 21 homers, one short of his career high.
