From now through Sunday, fans can drop off a new toy for children 6-13 at Dempsey’s at the B&O Warehouse (just look for the brightly lit signs at night near the North Warehouse parking area opposite Conway Street). The toys will be distributed to kids at the St. Vincent Courage House, which is home to 75 children who have suffered abuse at some point during their lives.
For each gift donation, you’ll receive a coupon redeemable for a free appetizer at Dempsey’s. Think about it: bacon on a stick or rock fish tacos are a fair trade for the smile your act of kindness will put on a kid’s face this holiday season.
Dempsey’s will be open daily at 11 a.m., including for Sunday’s football game between the Broncos and Ravens. If you pass by Camden Yards en route to M&T Bank Stadium, or can take a break from tailgating, they’ll be happy to accept your donation.
Can’t make it to Dempsey’s but still want to participate? Post on the foundation’s Facebook page and they’ll make arrangements to pick up your gift.
