As I prepare to watch “A Christmas Story” (yes, again), I wanted to file just a short post today to wish every reader here and every Orioles fan worldwide a very merry Christmas and happy holidays.
We’ve come a long way from last Christmas in terms of Oriole fandom – from hoping for that long-awaited winning season, to now wondering if the Orioles can repeat the magical 2012 year.

This time of year, it’s OK to look back, and looking back at the 2012 baseball season should bring a smile to your face. Orioles magic returned to the field and the stands at Camden Yards.
For those of us that are so passionate about baseball, today is a rare day, rare in that baseball takes a back seat to Christmas and our family and friends. It’s OK if baseball finishes second today.
But I thank each one of you for reading and commenting on my blog as often as you do. We’ve built quite a baseball community here at MASNsports.com and it’s fun to be a part of it 365 days a year. I hope you post even more questions and comments than ever in 2013 to keep our great baseball discussions going.
I wish the warm feelings we have this time of year could last all year, but real life always intrudes and somehow changes that.
But today, my wish for all of you is that this is your best Christmas ever!
