“Results-wise, I would say it was my best. But I don’t think I pitched like myself. I kind of backed off on my velocity some, kind of stepped out of who I am. I just wanted to have a good outing to build off of.

The results he got included no strikeouts, but quicker innings using fewer pitches. He had a one-hit shutout going on just 46 pitches through four innings.

On the MASN telecast last night, manager Dave Trembley said Tillman would make at least two more starts. He said the same today.

“Right now I feel great,” the 21-year-old Tillman said. “My worst day is the side day between starts. On my start days I feel strong right now. I want to pitch, I want to finish out the rest of the year. It’s fun right now.”

Tillman said he also made an effort to work with a faster pace last night.
