Jeremy Guthrie continued his recent excellent pitching and the Orioles blanked Texas 7-0 Sunday to win the series with their third shutout of the year.
Guthrie pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and is now 10-13, 4.96.
Over his last four starts, Guthrie is 3-1, 1.33.
Matt Albers pitched a scoreless 8th and Kam Mickolio got out of a two on jam in the 9th to preserve the shutout.

The O’s made it a 6-0 lead in the fourth as Fiorentino had an RBI single, Brian Roberts added a two-run single and Nolan Reimold’s sac fly capped the scoring in the inning.
Fiorentino’s RBI single in the 7th made it a 7-0 lead.
Losing pitcher Derek Holland (7-10) gave up six runs and six hits over 3 1/3 innings. Over his last three starts he has allowed 22ER over 12 1/3 for an ERA of 16.06.
The O’s won a series for just the second time since the All-Star break and ended this long homestand at 4-6.
