Jones, a San Diego native, owns a career .550 (11-for-20) average with two home runs and four RBIs in five games at Petco Park. In seven games against the Padres, Jones has hit .464 (13-for-28) with two home runs and six RBIs.

Hardy’s 71 home runs since the start of the 2011 season are the most of any major league shortstop.

Chris Davis’ three-run homer in the eighth inning, which broke a 3-3 tie, traveled an estimated 453 feet, tied for the second-longest ever hit at Petco Park. He matched Andruw Jones on July 15, 2006 and Russell Branyan on Sept. 24, 2006 and is second only to Adrian Gonzalez’s 458 foot blast on April 26, 2009.

Davis now has 38 extra-base hits on the road this season, the most in the majors.

Davis is batting .488 (20-for-41) in interleague play this season with nine games remaining against National League opponents. Joe Randa, in 1999, is the only player to hit .500 or better during interleague play.
