If the Orioles win tonight at Cleveland they will have a three-game win streak. If it seems like it has been a while, it has. The O’s last three-game win streak was Aug. 6-9 with two at San Diego and one at San Francisco. That was 22 games ago.

The last turn through the O’s rotation has been interesting. There have been seven-inning starts by Chris Tillman, Scott Feldman and Bud Norris and a pair of four-inning starts from Miguel Gonzalez and Wei-Yin Chen.

Matt Wieters came into Monday’s game at Cleveland with just two hits over his previous 26 at-bats and just two multi-hit games in his last 19 contests. But he went 4-for-5 with a homer. It was just his second four-hit game of 2013. Wieters went 4-for-5 May 26 at Toronto with three doubles and three RBIs. Wieters increased his average from .227 to .234.

The Orioles scored just 13 runs in the first five games of this current road trip. In the last two days they have produced 14 runs on 23 hits including four homers. This after they were shutout on three hits on Saturday.

Orioles pitchers have struck out 23 batters the last two games after getting 12 Sunday at New York and 11 yesterday at Cleveland.

This sport and its history are filled with teams that have made a charge down the stretch to get into the playoffs. The O’s would like to add to that history.
