Cuban outfielder Henry Urrutia won’t accompany the Orioles on their trip to Toronto next weekend, according to manager Buck Showalter.
As part of his work visa, Urrutia isn’t allowed to leave the country.
Urrutia will fly down to Sarasota and rejoin the Orioles in Boston for the series that begins on Sept. 17.

The Orioles have signed 16-year-old Dominican pitcher Olelky Peralta, a 6-foot-4 right-hander with a fastball clocked at 93-97 mph. They think he can move quickly through the organization.
Peralta signed for $325,000.
The Orioles also signed Venezuelan outfielder Jorge Gil, 18, a right-handed hitter with “big power,” according to executive director of international recruiting Fred Ferreira. Gil signed for $30,000.
Showalter still has no plans to give Kevin Gausman a start this month. Gausman will remain in the bullpen.
The Orioles want to be careful about “yo-yoing young players like that,” Showalter said.
Showalter said Gausman was a little stiff after his last appearance and hasn’t been available the past few days.
Left-hander T.J. McFarland may play winter ball in Venezuela before reporting to spring training next year.
Bud Norris is going for his career-high fifth consecutive win as a starter. He took the loss in relief Aug. 14 in Arizona.
The Orioles have won six of the seven games that Norris has started since being acquired from the Astros on July 31.
Shameless plug alert: I’ll have more from Showalter later, after I appear on “O’s Xtra” that begins at 1 p.m. on MASN2 HD.
