The Hall has something from each of the seven Major League players that have hit for the cycle this year and last night Pie became lucky number seven.

“I’m excited and happy. I never thought anything like that would happen in my life,” Pie said.

Pie has never been to the Hall.

“This is my first time. I’ll go check it out later this year now.”

The 24-year-old from La Romana, Dominican Republic has been getting a flood of calls and text messages since his four-hit, 4-RBI outing vs. the Angels.

“I got a lot of messages and calls. I’ve heard from my friends in the Dominican. I got a call from (Alfonso) Soriano and Hanley Ramirez. My best friend in the Dominican called, he’s like my brother, we talked for an hour. He cried during the call.

“The guy that signed me called. He was the one who really taught me how to play. He’s like my father. I can’t even explain what I am feeling.”

Last night, Felix thanked Terry Crowley and Dave Trembley for their support and help all year. Today, he thanked them again.

“Those guys have meant a lot. Every day they take me to the cage and work with me. When the season started there were problems with my swing, but they believed in me. Bad pitches I swung at early in the year, now I’m taking.”

“When the game was over, Crowley gave me the ball I hit the triple with. I said ‘you sign it for me.’ I told him ‘everything I got wrong, you fixed for me. Thank you.'”
