I’ll have more on this topic in my next entry.
Brad Bergesen allowed one hit and threw about 58 pitches in five innings in yesterday’s intrasquad game in Sarasota, which mostly involved players from the minor leaguer camp.
“I felt good,” Bergesen said. “I worked on some things, sequencing, that you can’t normally work on in a major league spring training game, like throwing two or three two-seamers in a row.”
Trembley is glad that Michael Aubrey remains in the organization.
“It gives us insurance at Triple-A,” Trembley said. “He needs to stay healthy. He needs to stay off the disabled list. But he was a good player at Triple-A and I’m glad he cleared (waivers). He’s a nice player to have in the organzation.”
Uniform numbers:
Julio Lugo 2
Craig Tatum 15
David Hernandez 29
Today is Andy MacPhail’s 57th birthday.
Party like a rock star.
