Mike Gonzalez struck out Pat Burrell on a 93 mph fastball to start the ninth inning.
I guess he does turn it up once the lights are on.
Maybe that only applies to his velocity.
Sean Rodriguez singled and pinch-hitter Kelly Shoppach doubled to put runners on second and third – the ball coming within a few inches of clearing the fence for a walk-off home run. Gonzalez walked Jason Bartlett intentionally to load the bases, and Carl Crawford singled to right to score two runs.

Rays 4, Orioles 3.
Brutal. Just brutal.
Better to look down on the farm, where Brandon Snyder collected four hits in Triple-A Norfolk’s 6-0 exhibition win over Norfolk State.
Josh Bell had a single and RBI triple. Lou Montanez, Scott Moore and Miguel Abreu each had an RBI single. Joey Gathright scored a run and stole two bases.
That didn’t make me feel any better, but I tried.
