SARASOTA, Fla. – The Orioles will keep most of their projected regulars back at the Ed Smith Stadium complex for today’s exhibition opener against the Rays in Port Charlotte.

Note: The Orioles released left-hander Chris Jones, who was designated for assignment earlier this week to make room for outfielder Nelson Cruz on the 40-man roster.
The Orioles’ transactions page listed Jones as being released and the club just confirmed it.
